Earrape. Nice song though. Maybe take the volume down a bit. It peaks a lot. Otherwise it sounds good.

✝ƕΔиkƨ. i didnt make it earrape specially. i just was sitting on min volume while was producing. sry, will fix later :)

Sounds great! I recently tried composing a song without using a chord progression. I failed to make something I was happy with. Huge props to you. I get lost and lose structure when I run commando in music. Forgive me if I am wrong and you did use a chord progression. Anyway, to the point of this comment. Nice job man. You're improving lots.

Thanks! I started making music when I was like 14 on my gameboy and Im 24 now and just make music in FL studio. In the vast majority of the things I make I do it intuitively but I know basic theory and I have recently been learning common chord progressions and stuff just to know, but I havent in the past approached making music from a structured process. This song wasnt written with a chord progression in mind, but I've been trying to incorporate structure moreso in my process just because I want to increase variety in my music as well as have more of a like intro-verse-chorus structure. But everytime I try to write a song like that I just get impatient and bored so I just go back to the "muscle memory" way that I have learned to write haha. Thanks for listening :). For making stuff without a process I would just suggest making something as best you can and just finishing it. I use FL studios demo version and I can't save any of my songs I can only export them so I have to make everything in 1 go 😂

I can't believe I never commented on this one. I really like this remix. I like the little jumpy bit around 1:40.

I didn’t see you there until now. The main issue I have with this song is that I basically stole what Strommen did in terms of melody, harmony, and in a way progression and didn’t do anything new with it. It’s essentially a cover of his song instead of a remake or remix, but I didn’t explain that in the description at first.

I agree with GRMusic, it does sound pretty European. That's not a bad thing though. the song sounds great. The only thing I can think of is the beginning melody being very soft when compared to everything else. This song in general sounds very happy and I really like it. It's nice watching you branch out into different styles with your more recent songs.

It’s hard to make my songs as loud as I want to because if I do, the bass drum ALWAYS distorts and it sounds terrible. Otherwise I think the audio balance in the intro would be better. Alternatively I could have reduced the volume of the super saws to make up for it but then I thought it would be too quiet. It’s a hard balance to strike.

I really like the drum bead you have. I think you really have the percussive aspects of music down. Mixcraft sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it. Before you purchase Mixcraft, I would recommend checking out some of the other software like Fl Studio, Logic, or even Sibelius. Personally, Sibelius is my preferred software since it's the one I'm the most familiar with. I've messed around with a couple like Fl Studio and it's a perfectly fine software. I haven't used Logic myself but I know of a couple of people who use it. A good place to start with music composition is learning harmonic theory and chord progressions. If you were to look at my songs you'll hear a vivid chord progression. A very summed-up version of the whole chord thing is that the notes in the melody will not clash as long as the notes that are being played is in the chords that the harmony is using. There are heaps of good youtube videos explaining the topic better than I ever could. Anyway, good luck with you music career friend!

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely look into chord progressions before diving back in. FL studio is good from what I've seen and what little I've used, but the $200 is a big deterrent

I love the very ominous feeling that this has. This would be amazing ambiance in a horror movie/game. Great job, this is amazing!

MEL045 responds:

thanks! :)

Very nice! I'd love to see this as a finished song. I think it has lots of potential :)

Yeah, I'd actually like that too.
