Cirrus clouds are my second favourite type of clouds! I still can't believe cirrus clouds are among the highest clouds in the atmosphere. Right up there with cirrocumulus clouds. Cumulonimbus clouds are my favourite for obvious reasons ;)

I love the angelic feeling of this. The harp, glockenspiel and woodwinds go really well together. Is that a sax?!

If you really wanted to lean heavily into the angelic feel, then adding some soft choir sustains in the background could help with some more depth and filling in some empty space during the climaxes.

Some soft brass could have been really cool in this. Done in a similar way to the brass in Debussy's piece. Gentle brass is among the most underused and most beautiful things.

Sorry for taking nearly a quarter of a year to write this. I'm getting my adhd medication soon, hopefully.

Yes, that is a sax. In fact, I’ve put both tenor and soprano sax in here just like with presage. I wasn’t willing to put in choir in this one because dostinato already had quite a bit of it and I wanted a minimalist style sorta. But it might’ve helped in the quieter sections fill up some space. As for the soft brass, in TLG you said you hated weak brass sounds lmao. Plus, like in presage I wanted to stick to winds and a few extra percussion instruments. To be honest I thought you would’ve had a little more to say about 1:24-1:48. I was so proud of that part when I first dropped this one lmao. It’s gotta be some of my best orchestration despite not even being a wind player.

I love cirrus clouds. If I made a sequel it would be cumulonimbus. The name is just so glorious to me and I don’t even know why

I wouldn’t go that far. This one wasn’t frontpaged, after all, so clearly I was missing something. I wanted to shake up the intro - chorus - bridge - chorus - outro format so I just had intro - chorus - bridge- B section - outro instead. But something went wrong and I’m not sure what. Maybe it’s just a fundamental issue with the main melody. Unfortunately there’s not much that could be done in that case if I don’t want to alter the original sound too much.

But thanks for enjoying it nonetheless. I’ve got 2 more remixes and I’m gonna just say them now: one is Missouri 6, and the other is Newer Jersey (names pending).
