Very nice and discordant. I feel like the song could be a little longer and have a little more progression.

thanks for the feedback!
Honestly, this is pretty impressive with the limited customizability beepbox gives. I feel like programs like hookpad are much better for making small little repetitive tunes as it is easy to use. However, it uses a little music theory and can be a little scary at first.
thank you!
This is very cute! I really like your use of chromatic scales and the shifting of keys. I've always been a softy for 8-bit music and I think you did really well on this.
Звучит здорово! Вы использовали фанкинские звуки в пятницу вечером? Я не говорю по-русски, извините, если мой переводчик плохой.
Great ambience. Very chilling!
I really enjoyed the show Squid game. It certainly deserves some praise but to the point where everyone's talking about it. Great remix!
Absolutely love this. Great job Dan! I love how you mixed metal with a little bit of that videogame 8-bit sounding thing.
Thanks man! Yeah I love mixing in old school video game type synths :D I get a kick of that energy
Very nice opening. It really reminded me of a trailer for one of the Forza Horizon games. You really introduced the song very well with the opening and the effects/dynamics used. It's like setting the scene of a movie. However, 00:55 has a diminished chord which doesn't carry the flow of the song as well as I'd like. It would have been much better to use the diminished chord right before changing into a different section or if you wanted to bring the melody up an octave. Hearing a diminished chord once every five chords make it begin losing its effect. The very powerful thing about diminished chords is that they can really elevate a melody/verse if used sparingly and effectively. It can help elevate the feeling of conclusion before the final chord of the verse; however, if used too much then it could make the verse worse for the people listening. Diminished chords are very make or break and you have to be careful with them. I really like how you finished off the piece. Slowing it down and using a diminuendo. I really liked the use of discordant notes in 1:45. It brings a lot of personality to the piece and it works really well with the piece. I feel like you should have added more separate sections to avoid repeating the melody for too long. Overall, I really like the piece. I think you did a great job on it and most of the things I've criticized has been opinionated and you may completely disagree with me.
Edit: I just realized you said "Last notable state done". xD That genuinely made me laugh.
Now that I think about it and after really listening to this a few times over post publishing I do think you’re correct. I initially thought that the first half was superior to the second, but I think I got a little too excited on the emotional effect of the chords that I may have… overused them a little in that first half. Looking back I would love to spice up that first half a little, just not sure quite how. Specifically I think the the biggest problem with the song in its current state is 0:59-1:28. You suggested bringing the melody up an octave but, given that I kinda did that in the second drop it feels inappropriate. I also think changing up the chords too much would make it not fit with the second half so there must be a sweet spot that I can make it impactful and also feel like it fits together. I don’t have a long history of using dimished chords effectively so this is something relatively new to me. Either way, I still think that, of all my songs, this is the one I would come back to the most often because of the repetitive melody. I don’t generally prefer them over more drawn out melodies, but the way it’s done in this song, I don’t think there was a better option.
Vury gud sung

I actually really like this. I was a little weary at the beginning because it felt like it was not going to ramp up. I am genuinely impressed with this. You're really starting to improve the melodies of your songs. I could imagine going on a long journey with your family, a small amount of food/medicine and your trusty mule who you'll hopefully not eat. I'm not too familiar with the Oregon trail since we never learnt anything about American history in school (Quite a shame because America's history is actually really interesting). I've only heard about the game that they used to give people and how everyone died of dysentery or something. Anyway, enough about that, I really like the soft peaceful yet hopeful tone of the song. I award this the, "My current favourite 50Steaks song" award (You should be very proud of yourself. You're the only person in the world who's ever gotten this award). It's actually very convenient timing that you released this. I really need something other than pokemon songs to study to. I think that'll work great. Thanks!
Like I said, I shortened the intro by half for that reason; I didn’t want people clicking off the song because it started out too boringly. The intro is meant to be so quiet and peaceful because that’s how most people probably felt when first taking the trail. I suppose I am the only one who can make the best 50Steaks song, and in fact, I’d award you the funniest Tangeroni review as well!
Anyways ironically I did listen to this while studying as well; it’s one of my favorite study songs because classical is either really energetic or way too quiet. This is right in the sweet spot of a brighter tone with loud but mellow chords as the melody.
