niceeee

This is pretty much what goes on in my head during my most crucial moments

I’m reading a book and this pops in my head, distracting me till the end of the next 10 pages.

It is the most evil thing I’ve ever posted, the pinnacle of ways that music can directly harm the listener in a psychotic yet ephemeral way. Except it’s not really ephemeral, it’s more recurring.

This is arguably my magnum opus because of how well it distracts people. It accomplishes exactly what it set out to do with such spirituosity and accuracy that I’ll never surpass the glory of this composition.

It's so beautiful :o

This is awesome! Congrats on the frontpage :)

Nice!! I like your use of panning at the beginning.

If I were to give a piece of feedback, it would be to take more time with your transitions and to weave things in and out more. Silky smooth transitions are super important because they stop the listener from getting lost. If you want a sudden change to invoke shock or surprise, you can hint at it with a little bit of a warm-up, just so the listener knows something is about to happen :)

I've only listened to it briefly and I don't really know much about your music style, so take it with a large pinch of salt :)

Awesome song though, you absolutely nailed what you were going for. I had never actually thought about the psychological impact mind control would have on the victim after they're released. pretty interesting to think about

hell yeah!

The home seems lovely!

I love the way you used the chord progression in this. 10/10! I do want to warn you that you risk the chance of it becoming slightly repetitive. Perhaps having a longer B section or having a B section leads to a variation of the A section, which seamlessly loops back into the beginning of the song :)

GizzyKittyMusic responds:

Thanks! I always love using a #5/b6 to either create an augment I chord or a minor IV chord. I definitely do see how it could become a little repetitive when listened to on loop for a while and I did see that as a possible issue when making it. However, this really was just a random for fun track and I didn't really feel like putting too much effort into it for that reason. This definitely is good advice though!

Lmaoooo I have the temptation to name my songs like that all the time xd. Something like "Humble Beginnings" or "Eye of the Storm" since I can sense a bit of tension in the song.

Your songs are always wrapped up so nicely and feel so clean. I still struggle with this!!

GizzyKittyMusic responds:

I do like "Eye of the Storm" a lot, but I think at this point since it's been well over 2 months and it is kinda funny that I'm just going to keep the "name" I have now.

I definitely agree that it can be very difficult to wrap up a song and it is something that I used to struggle with a lot as well. Nowadays I just use a lot of authentic cadences and end my songs with calmer and simpler parts to help relieve some of the tension and bring whatever story is being told to a close. It also definitely helps to just let whatever reverb is being used ring out at the end as it usually has a nice fade out.

Nice! I think it might be a good idea for you to start thinking about putting unique cd thumbnails on your songs. It might help boost the number of people who see them (since they're essentially like youtube thumbnails) :)

GizzyKittyMusic responds:

I will definitely start trying to do that. I have struggled in the past with doing so, mostly when it comes to where to actually find images to use, so if you have any advice on that front, it would be much appreciated :)
