I believe the name of this is pretty accurate. I'll probably describe this as an experience. Quite an experience. One that I've listened to 3 times now...

thanks

For something called "Trash lo-fi track" I really enjoyed it. It's simple and repetitive but it's charming. I really love the lo-fi genre and I feel that you captured its essence really well in this piece. I just have a quick question. What software did you create this on?

This is definitely one of your more interesting songs. I really like how you went for a more distorted feeling for your songs. It's a nice change. My one problem is that the melody is slightly hard to distinguish at first. I only really caught on to it after 0:50. The more I listened, the more I liked it. This piece is definitely unique. I do have to say, it has a very nice beat but the melody is very repetitive. A good structure for music that I use is the Intro, A, B, A, C, A, outro. The letters are the sections (so A will have a certain melody or chord progression which stays the same but the melody might change). Overall, it's a really nice song. I like what you did with the experimenting but I think there are still a few things you could change in the future. I don't think I have much else to say.

Sorry for giving the feedback so late... I am very forgetful. I saw it once you released it and thought "Oh sweet! A new song. I'll check it out tomorrow when I have the time." Then I got distracted and forgot. Then again around some ungodly late hour, I remembered it and thought "Oh shoot I forgot about that. I'll check it tomorrow so that I'll have a straight mind while I write the comment". Well, that day never came. This went on for a couple of days and now I've just decided to do my best to make sense out of the little brain cells I have left and to write a comment which is awfully late. As an apology, I gave much more feedback than I usually do in hopes that some of it might be used to you (this is coming from someone who's hardly alive). Anyway, I liked the song. Good work!

I didn’t really flesh out the structure here. Recently as I’ve felt stressed about switching to PC and already losing all my progress on the next song I just made this nearly in frustration. I took inspiration from a lot of the current audio portal where the music is generally distorted and lacking much structure, as well as some older composers such as Charles Ives (that to a much lesser extent). I ended it before really changing a lot about it because I thought it was “complete” before it felt complete, where I wanted to leave it hanging instead of a proper ending. In the end this probably was still too short anyway. Later I edited the original file and added in different LFO rates which completely changed the vibe. Thanks for leaving a review and I hope I don’t see you in the NZ obituary next week.
Note: I would say this is Intro, A, B, A, Outro which is a standard structure (I think it’s sonata form?)

That's such a difficult voice routine. I'm really loving the general tone and projection coming from your voice when you play that character. I really hear something amazing spark when you play the mime. Absolutely outstand characterization. You truly convinced me that you were a mime through your many words. Absolutely outstanding!

In all honesty. This made me laugh. You're a comedic genius. Great job!

CarlTheVoiceactor responds:

Thanks for the kind words, Tangerine! Glad to have brought some good laughter with my goofiness!

These drums are amazing! Just a quick question. Where can I find the audio portal to get these SF2 files? I'm still pretty new to Newgrounds and I'm still learning where everything is. Thank you :)

Troisnyx responds:

In the search bar, type in "800 SF2" without the inverted commas and it should hopefully bring up the associated forum thread if you look under Forum Posts.

Sounds very cute! I like it a lot.

Sounds really good! I like how you used purposeful discordance in some of your notes to give a slightly sinister sound. I really like it! Great job.

TrandafirTeodora responds:

Thank you so much!
