Yeah, I agree with @ElectricAngel7482. This could totally work for something like that.

Oh hey, this is the original to the song I reviewed a couple of minutes ago. I didn't know you were going for a lofi-style song. I interpreted it more as a jazzy late-night noir song. An easy way to make something sound lofi is to give the music some distortion and use jazzy chords with some muffled drum beats. There are a lot of guides and tutorials out there on youtube on how to make a good lofi song.
Like I said before, the time signature is a little off but everything else is good. Also, SGM is a good SoundFont :). I have recently stopped using it but it's a really good place to start. I think my most recent song still used SGM :>
thanks for the advice.
This is a really neat piece. I think you did the atmosphere and the instrumentation really well. The levelling is pretty good and everything compliments each other pretty well.
The main thing I found which is off about this is the time signature you used. The time signature is off and I really feel like it takes a lot away from the smooth feeling of the song. For something in this style, I would recommend 4/4. I would usually not recommend going for bizarre time signatures in something like this.
This has giant potential and I am excited to see what you make in the future.
Amazing
I wish I could make something half as beautiful as this
